And there's aneet little trick to un-copyprotecting them that we figure dout, so we can move them any place we like. I wasn't aware of the procedure when you downloaded onto an IPod, whether there it was directly to the device through a USB port or to a disk file to be added later. If it went directly to the device and it died, you would have to replace everything from ITunes again, essentially buying it a second time. I assume from your response that the purchased songs are stored on your disk and then moved to the IPod. The contents cannot be reloaded in the same fashion; the controls won't work exactly the same; all of the "short cuts" are gone. They don't require you to re-buy all of the music when you get a new one, do they?
