…but Just in Time for Caturday!

It’s been a while since we had any new pictures. I blame the cats. Lazy bastards.

We’re off to Oregon for a few days. I’ll be back next week with the first installment of Proust talk.

Elvira and I are off to Sweden (yes Sweden!) on a vacation (yes, a vacation!) for the next week (a whole week!). We don’t leave until Sunday but lot’s to do; I have to squeeze all our toothpaste into a tiny tube so the TSA won’t think I’m a terrorist form the future, where magic liquid explosives are often used in lieu of toothpaste. I’ve left Rupert in charge until we get back, when I’ll have a full report (yes, a report!)

All apologies for the lack of cat pictures of late. Lucy and Rupert have simply been unphotogenic of late, refusing to pose long enough to be photographed. But there’s always the archives.

Meanwhile, Smithsonian Online has a short history of the domestic house cat.

Some people have said that I have a strong Rupert bias in my cat blogging. That’s only because the boy is a bit of a ham while Lucy is only secretly cute. She refuses to do anything photogenic while we’re home, let alone when the camera is handy.

But, yesterday morning, Elvira had to drop something off at home and found Lucy snuggling with the stuffed Bageera.

And so, we prove that there are no secrets on the Internets.
